I can’t believe that it is already April. Time goes by so fast… Here’s the great news. Spring is coming and then summer. My absolute favorite times of the year. Typically, for Realtors it’s normally our busiest time of the year. Things are looking good so far. Recently, I was given a paper on Attitude. It starts out saying, “The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude, to me its more important than the facts.” I would have to agree with that statement. Let me give you a few examples. I’ve noticed with my older children Marissa and Corbin, that their attitude definitely affects how they work. When they have a negative attitude and need an attitude adjustment, it usually calls for a visit to their rooms. On the positive side, I’ve noticed both of them in sports being the cheerleaders and uplifting their team members. Marissa has been playing volleyball and absolutely loves it. The team has done fairly well but it’s been amazing to watch. When they believe they can win, they do. When they start to doubt, they have usually lost their game. This season, they one most of their games and recently participated in a tournament and made it to the championship game. I watched our girls watch the dominant team and saw their morale drop. With a little pep talk from me and their coach, their attitudes readjusted and they almost won. Marissa had one of her best games ever. I asked her what was the difference and she said she readjusted her attitude and she was the one pumping everyone else up as well. It was awesome! Even as adults we can have attitudes that need to be adjusted. :) I’m probably one of the worst offenders of this. I have great days and not so great days but the days get better when I make a choice to change how I react. Chuck Swindoll says, “I am convinced that life is 10% of what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you…. We are in charge of our attitudes.” Relating to real estate and the market… the Realtors that adjust and have a more positive outlook are doing well and those with doom and gloom, aren’t. Homes are selling and the market is picking up!
