As I sit here trying to think about the next great article to write, I have my sweatshirt on and I'm still wrapped up in a blanket. I'm constantly cold. My husband Mike says, I'm like a dog... my hands, feet and nose are always cold. So the cold weather and wintertime in Michigan are not FUN times for me. My kids look forward to grandpa coming over because HE'S the one that always takes them sledding. Honestly, I'm a bad mother. I should sacrifice for them and do the snow thing but I think they have learned that I'm a fair weather person. Hit me up in summer, and we'll be doing all kinds of great things. Warm weather and Tammy definitely go hand-in-hand.
I think that when my kids are out of school, I'm seriously considering selling real estate in Florida in the winter and selling real estate in Michigan in the summer.
Lately, I've talked to several people that have taken or are about to take the "warmer weather" vacation and leave the snowy Michigan weather....
I'm not sure what's wrong with me, but the last two years, I've traveled to Seattle in February and the family is getting ready to travel there again in March. All seven sisters and brothers, spouses and kids will be out for my sister's wedding. A big family reunion. I don't think it will be like the movie, "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" (especially since we are not Greek) but it should be interesting.
My sister B.J. (just remember sis, I love you dearly as you read this) has decided that a wedding on the mountaintops, outside, in the cold, is a great place to have a wedding. I'm in the wedding along with my other sisters (the surefire way to get all of us out there for the wedding) and all I can think of is... BBBRRR....that sounds cold. I've invested in warm boots, thermals etc... but remember I'm always cold. So, while I'm ecstatic for my sister, I'm not really that thrilled about the wedding in the snow. I keep telling my family, "Don't you realize that I'm from Michigan and I have already seen enough snow!" Can't we have this wedding in the Bahamas and on the beach. Now that's my kind of wedding adventure! Oh well, I guess I don't have much say and we'll still have a great time as long as I can stay warm.
So, don't you hate those people who have nothing better to do than complain about the weather. Yeah, me too!
Now, as a friend of mine always wonders, "How is Tammy going to wrap this story back into something about real estate?" Well, here it is. Let's stop complaining about the market, and make a plan of action to get your home sold or figure out which one you want to buy. It's really that simple!
