So today, I have my sad face on.  I'm so sad to see summer leave.  I believe that this year in Michigan has been one of the best summer seasons we have had and we still continue to have the good ole' hot weather that I love.  I have to tell everyone, I've actually lived other places than Michigan.  I lived in Seattle for 7 years and absolutely loved it there but I love it here too.  I was thinking yesterday as to why I love the Michigan summers so much.  Realistically, it's because of the camping, hanging out with friends and my favorite the times spent at our cottage in Cedar Springs.

I LOVE the beach!  What better area to live in than Michigan where there are 11,000 lakes to choose from.  That number alone is amazing!  We have so many options that are just a short distance away and some of the best beaches I've ever seen.  Now, the coast was gorgeous but the Michigan sand is this beautiful yellow sand and the coast is gray and rocky.  You can actually go swimming in the lakes, the oceans on the other hand are quite cold and not much fun to swim in.  Again, I loved both places to live but love the Michigan summers and all the fun that I have with my family and friends.

I have a few buyers that are currently looking for a great deal on lakefront property.  My theory for real estate is that lakefront property is ALWAYS a good buy.  In fact, lakefront property is one of my favorite properties to look at with buyers and am very excited when they find a property that fits them because I know of all the memories they are going to create for themselves with that property.

Labor Day Memories

I'm really trying not to make this post be about me but I am hoping that through my good times, you can envision what you may have in your life by owning lakefront property.  If you can imagine...

• Fishing off the dock (26" bass was caught this year on our little sports lake!)
• Catching frogs
• Capturing turtles, bringing back to the cottage and then having a race to see which one gets back to the shore first
• Swimming all day
• MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE - Going 60mph on the Wave Runner and being pulled on the tube by the Wave Runner (jet ski).  P.S. I'm still the "Queen of the Tube".  As hard as they try, my friends haven't been able to throw me off it yet!!!
